Richard Siegal is the artistic director of The Bakery Paris - Berlin (2006). In 2008, Siegal was awarded the Mouson Award and a NY Dance and Performance Award ("Bessie") for The Bakery's production, As If Stranger. Siegal is a Macdowel Fellow and an honorary member of The Bolshoi Ballet's Benoit de la Danse. In 2009, he was Artist-in-Residence at ZKM, Center for Art and Media, Baryshnikov Arts Center, and Bennington College. Since 2004, he is on the faculty of The American Dance Festival for which he also curates the annual Forsythe Festival. Siegal was a member of Ballett Frankfurt from 1997 until 2004.
