Centres chorégraphiques nationaux

The National Choreographic Centres, contemporary dancing companies and repertoire or creation ballets, are directed by choreographic artists. They develop artistic projects based on creation and diffusion of their own works, support to production and reception in residence of guest companies, choreographic development and teaching. They are entrusted with these public missions by the State and the territorial organizations, within the frame of the territorial planning and the politicies in aid of dancing. Created in 1984, there are nineteen National Choreographic Centres in France today.[1]

The CCN de Rennes et de Bretagne, now the Dancing Museum, has been directed by Gigi Caciuleanu until 1993, by Catherine Diverrès and Bernardo Montet until 1996, then by Catherine Diverrès alone until 2008., Boris Charmatz is its new director since 2009.
